COMMONWEALTH GAMES: Benjamin Azamati narrowly misses out on medal

Benjamin Azamati narrowly missed out on a medal after finishing 4th in the finals of the Men’s 100m at the Commonwealth Games.

The Ghanaian missed out on just +02sec to Yupun Abeykoon from Sri Lanka.

The keenly contested race was won by Kenyan Ferdinand Omayala with defending champion Akani Simbine finishing 2nd.

Azamati will now join Ghana’s 4×100 relay team in a quest to get a hand on a medal.

Meanwhile compatriots Joseph Paul Amoah and Abdul-Rasheed Samuni will be in the tracks tomorrow to compete in the Men’s 200m event.
