COMMONWEALTH GAMES: Deborah Acquah picks bronze in Long Jump

Ghana’s Deborah Acquah picked up bronze in the final Day of the Commonwealth Games.

The youngster came out third in the Women’s Long Jump after taking a huge leap of 6.94 to break her National record.

Acquah who finished top in the semi finals only fell behind Nigeria’s Ese Brume and Brooke Buschkuehl who finished first and second respectively.

The Ghanaian thus completes Ghana’s medal at the competition at 5 after Joseph Amoah picked bronze in the 200m with Abraham Mensah, Joseph Commey and Walid Omar all picking up medals in boxing.
