Richmond Lamptey has been granted a stay of execution by the Court of Abitaration for Sport (CAS).
The midfielder’s 2 year ban have been lifted.
Kotoko appealed against an FA ruling which saw their player together with several others being suspended for the next 24 months over match fixing.
Lamptey is said to have been involved in the scandal receiving the hefty punishment from the nation’s football governing body.
The latest decision from CAS means the 25-year-old is free to play with immediate effect.
“This afternoon, the club through our lawyer Nilo Effori have secured a ruling from CAS granting Richmond Lamptey provisional measures (Stay of Execution) against the decision of the GFA Appeals Committee meaning Lamptey is free to continue his career,” Kotoko announced.
The player is due to travel with Kotoko for a preseason tour in Turkey on Sunday.
