Former Black Stars defender Lee Addy makes Berekum Chelsea return

Berekum Chelsea have completed the signing of former Ghana International Lee Addy.

The 32-year-old centre-back will be joining the blues on a free transfer.

Addy completed his medical and signed a contract with the Ghana Premier League side.

Having returned from Ethiopia, where he last played for St Georges, the former Red Star Belgrade and Dinamo Zagreb defender opted to rejoin the one-time Champions.

He will be part of the Berekum Chelsea squad for the 2022/23 season.

A member of Ghana’s 2010 FIFA World Cup squad where he made an appearances against Austrialia in the Group stage as well as the USA in the round of 16.

He also played for the Black Stars at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola after which he went on to feature at the 2012 and 2013 tournaments.
