CHAN Q: Ghana will defeat Nigeria if we get fair officiating – Black Galaxies coach Annor Walker

Head coach of the Black Galaxies Annor Walker has called for fair officiating ahead of his side’s 2022 Championship of African Nations [CHAN] qualifier against Nigeria at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Annor Walker speaking ahead of the game said Ghana didn’t get fair officiating even though we defeated Benin and says if officials are fair this time we would beat Nigeria.

“We didn’t get a fair officiating against Benin but we were able to progress. I believe Ghana will defeat Nigeria if fair officiating prevails this time around.

“The Nigerians should not think about revenge against Ghana because we eliminated them from the World Cup play-off.

“If they want to revenge, then it is not under my watch. We are ready and our minds are positive for this game.

“It will be a tough game but we are prepared and I am confident that we will qualify for the CHAN tournament next year,” he added.

Ghana failed to qualify for the previous two editions. To book a ticket to Algeria next year, the Black Galaxies must overcome Nigeria in a two-legged tie.

The second leg will be played the following weekend at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
