Kotoko painfully bow out of Champions League after losing to Kadiogo on penalties

Asante Kotoko have been knocked out of the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League after losing on penalties to Burkinabe side Kadiogo.

The Porcupine Warriors went into the game with a 1-0 advantage courtesy of Isaac Oppong’s late strike in the first leg of the preliminary round of the competition on Monday.

They were expected to win and move to the next stage but lost the game 1-0 at Baba Yara which saw the match head into penalties.
