Richard Boadu has been appointed new captain of Kotoko ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The midfielder replaces Abdul Ganiyu who is set to leave the Club.
Ganiyu is believed to have requested for his contract to be terminated after three seasons with the Reds.
Boadu thus takes up the mandate to lead the Club ahead of the new season.
He will be assisted by defender Yusif Mubarik who acts as the first deputy captain. Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim will serve as the 2nd deputy captain.
Christopher Nettey and new signing Pouaty Dendoum will be playing the roles as the 3rd and 4th deputy captains.
Kotoko are currently away in Sudan for preseason where they will play Al Hilal and Simba SC in preseason friendly.
