U-20 WWC: Black Princesses suffer defeat in first game against USA

The Black Princesses of Ghana tasted defeat in their first game against USA at the U-20 Women’s World Cup.


The Princesses who ended the game with 10 players after were no where close to the USA.

Michelle Cooper opened the scoring for USA in the 11th minute with a powerful close range header.

Things got worse for the Black Princesses when Jacqueline Owusu was sent off for a reckless tackle.

The USA had the upper hand and Alyssa Thompson doubled their lead in the 38th minute.

The Black Princesses could not respond and went into the break down by two goals.

USA made it 3-0 as Allyson Sentnor and that was done and dusted .

The game eventually ended 3-0 and that was a painful defeat for the Black Princesses.
