Medeama SC and Dreams FC opened their campaigns in the ongoing GHALCA Top 4 Tournament with victories at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Medeama SC began the day with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars in an entertaining opening fixture at the Legon Stadium.
The Ghana Premier League champions showed their quality in a pulsating encounter, edging Gold Stars to claim all three points and make a winning start to the competition.
In the second match, FC Samartex 1996 faced Dreams FC in a tightly contested encounter. Both sides adopted cautious tactical approaches, making it difficult for either team to break the deadlock during regulation time.
The game ended goalless after 90 minutes, sending the tie straight to a penalty shootout to determine the winner.
Dreams FC held their nerve from the spot to secure a 5–4 victory over Samartex and complete a successful opening day.
The next round of fixtures is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026. Dreams FC will face Bibiani Gold Stars at 15:00 GMT, before Medeama SC take on FC Samartex 1996 in the second match of the day.
