Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo has secured the second position in a latest ranking of the highest-paid players in African leagues, according to a list published by Africa Facts Zone.
Sibo is listed alongside Congolese forward Fiston Mayele at the summit of the ranking, with both players reportedly earning $5 million yearly.

Former Al Ahly stars Ali Maaloul and Anthony Modeste occupy seventh and eighth positions respectively, with both listed at $1.5 million. Egyptian international Ramadan Sobhi follows with $1.446 million at Pyramids FC.
Algerian forward Youcef Belaili, Moroccan star Achraf Bencharki and fellow Moroccan Hakim Ziyech are also among the leading earners, with reported annual salaries of $1.44 million, $1.4 million and $1.3 million respectively.
The list also includes Senegal’s Lamine Camara, who is reported to earn $1.2 million at Al Ahli Tripoli, the same figure attributed to Tunisia’s Firas Chaouat and South Africa’s Percy Tau during his Al Ahly spell.
Other notable names in the ranking include Morocco’s Badr Benoun, Egypt’s Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Awad and Hussein El Shahat, all listed with reported annual earnings of $1 million.
Sibo’s reported position represents a significant financial milestone for the Ghanaian, placing him among the most highly remunerated players competing in African domestic leagues.
The midfielder’s inclusion also highlights the growing financial pull of Libyan football, with Al Ahli Tripoli and Al-Swehly accounting for several of the highest earners featured in the ranking.
