Kwame Opoku of Bibiani Gold Stars has emerged among the leading scorers in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League after Matchweek Six, with three goals to his name.

The Gold Stars forward features in a competitive top-five scoring chart released by the Ghana Football Association, joining David Gyamfi Junior of FC AshantiGold 04 and Abdul Razak Salifu of Dreams FC, who have also scored three goals each.

At the summit of the scoring standings are Stephen Amankona of Aduana FC and Kingsley Braye of Medeama SC, who are tied on four goals apiece. Their early-season form places them one goal ahead of the three players occupying third position.

Opoku’s inclusion among the league’s leading marksmen highlights his growing contribution to Gold Stars’ attacking efforts. His three-goal tally provides an encouraging start to the campaign as the Bibiani-based club seeks to maintain a competitive presence in the league.

With several matches still to be played, the race for the Golden Boot remains open. Opoku will be aiming to build on his current tally, improve his position on the scoring chart and challenge the leading contenders as the season progresses.

For Gold Stars, having a forward among the league’s most prolific players represents a positive sign of their attacking potential. The club and its supporters will hope that Opoku can sustain his scoring form and translate his individual performances into valuable results.

As the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League continues, attention will remain on the battle for the top scorer’s crown, with Opoku among the players to watch.
