The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has extended a strong hand of support to Ghana Premier League side, Kpando Heart of Lions, with the donation of packs of mineral water after their Match Day One fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League against Aduana Stars.
The game was played on Sunday at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
The donation was made by the Volta FA Chairman, Mr. Daniel Agbogah, together with his Vice Chairman, Mr. Ceasar Heh.
Speaking at the presentation of the items, Mr. Agbogah said the Association will continue to stand behind the club as the region’s sole representative in the top flight.
“We are coming from the Regional Football Association and I must say that you being the only Premier League team we have, we should come and cheer you on. The entire stakeholders of football in the Volta Region are behind you, and we will try as much as we can to always offer you our support,” he said.
“We are only appealing to you. In fact, what we are seeing now is a good beginning, because if we compare today against Aduana Stars to last season, I think that is a good beginning for us. We have hope that you will make the region proud.”
“So, on behalf of the Executive Council of the Volta Regional Football Association, we are here to present this token to you as an indication that the entire football family in the region is behind you.”
Heart of Lions remain the only Premier League club flying the flag of the Volta and Oti Regions, and the VRFA says supporting them is a regional duty.
Receiving the items on behalf of the club, Stephen Botchway, Team Manager of Heart of Lions, expressed gratitude to the Association, describing the gesture as timely and motivating as the new league season commences.
Present at the presentation were the newly appointed coach, Coach Kasim Gokyiidicz, and the entire playing body of Kpando Heart of Lions.
The gesture reaffirms the Regional FA’s commitment to creating an enabling and supportive environment for all clubs in the region, from juvenile to the Premier League.
