In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and solidarity, the Black Stars have settled outstanding medical bills amounting to GH¢84,000 for 16 distressed mothers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The intervention took place this afternoon when members of the Executive Council, alongside other officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), visited the hospital to extend support to the mothers on behalf of the senior national team.
The gesture brought immense relief to the beneficiaries, whose medical bills had been a source of financial difficulty. The mothers expressed their gratitude through heartfelt appreciation, prayers and smiles, making the occasion an emotional and memorable one.

The initiative underscores the Black Stars’ commitment to giving back to society and using football as a platform to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
The GFA delegation wished the mothers and their newborn babies good health, happiness and a bright future, while expressing hope that the gesture would inspire greater acts of kindness and collective responsibility.

The intervention serves as a reminder that beyond the excitement and passion of football, the Black Stars remain part of a wider community where compassion, humanity and solidarity matter.
