KRC Genk Head of Football, Dimitri De Conde has welcomed Ghanaian forward Jerry Afriyie to the Belgian Club, describing the young player as a valuable addition to the squad.
Afriyie has signed a fiver year contract with Genk after completing his move from Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah.
The transfer sees the Black Stars forward return to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, having spent part of the 2025/2026 season on loan at RAAL la Louvière, where he made 34 appearances scoring five goals and providing two assists across all competitions.
De Conde believes Afriyie has the qualities needed to thrive at Genk, particularly his energy and work ethic.
“Jerry is a player with an incredible amount of energy. Whatever he does, he gives 100%. That fits perfectly with the intensity we want to see at KRC Genk” he said.
Afriyie will now look to build on his experience in Belgium as he begins a new chapter of his career with Genk.
