Italian club US Sassuolo Calcio have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana from Atalanta BC on a loan deal with an option to buy, running until June 30, 2027.
The 23-year-old joins as Sassuolo bolster their midfield ahead of the new season.

Born in Sunyani, Sulemana moved to Italy in 2019 after impressing in trials, joining Atalanta’s Under-17 side. He later progressed through Hellas Verona’s Primavera team before making his Serie A debut against Salernitana in October 2022.
Since then, he’s featured for Cagliari, returned to Atalanta — scoring a crucial Champions League-qualifying goal — and had loan spells at Bologna and Cagliari again, where he helped the club avoid relegation.
At international level, Sulemana debuted for Ghana’s Black Stars in June 2024 against Mali and has since made seven appearances for the national team.
Welcoming him, Sassuolo said: “Welcome to the Neroverde family, Ibrahim!”
