Renowned local league advocate and player transfer expert, Mo Shaban, who is also in charge of statistics at the Ghana Football Association, has released his Top 11 best deals done so far in the current Ghana Premier League transfer window.
In his squad released on his popular #LINEUP11 segment, Shaban highlights a window dominated by Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak. Leading the attack in his 3-3-3-1 formation are Emmanuel Annor, who sealed a move from Nations FC to Medeama, John Antwi who returns to Hearts of Oak from Dreams FC, and Kwame Opoku who joins Gold Stars as a free agent following his departure from Asante Kotoko.
In midfield, Shaban picks Este Dogli of Medeama SC, Meshack Adjetey Sowah who completed a move from Vision FC to FC Samartex, and experienced midfielder Justice Blay who joins as a free agent from AshantiGold. According to the GFA statistician, these three bring a perfect blend of creativity, energy and experience to any side.
The defensive department also sees some of the window’s smartest business. Shaban names Abdul Aziz Issah who moved from Swedru All Blacks to Hearts of Oak, Abdul Rahman Yaya who switched from Karela United to Medeama SC, and Abdul Jalilu who joined on a free from Heart of Lions. Completing the backline is Emmanuel Sanja, who made the switch from Vision FC to Asante Kotoko as part of the Porcupine Warriors’ rebuilding exercise.
In goal, Mo Shaban’s top pick is former Asante Kotoko captain Danlad Ibrahim, who is listed as a free agent acquisition. The shot-stopper, who was among the 14 players cleared out by Kotoko, remains one of the most experienced goalkeepers on the local scene and his availability on a free is considered a top deal.
Speaking to his followers, Shaban noted that the current window shows clubs are being more strategic, focusing on free agents and proven Premier League talent rather than expensive foreign imports. With Medeama securing three of his top 11 and Hearts of Oak grabbing two, the advocate believes the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season will be one of the most competitive in recent years.
